I bought a tofu presser and other tools for making tofu by myself a couple of weeks ago. The VBGK Portable induction Cooktop is perfect for boiling soy milk, the firepower can be adjusted easily to avoid the milk overheating.By the way, the manual is simple and easy to understand, the icons of the functions are visualized, and the HOT warning is useful for safety.

Worked perfectly for HMart hotpot kit! Ignore reviews that state defective. It won’t work if you don’t read directions about pot or pan NEEDING to be on it to power on and not get error code. Bought two, would highly recommend!

Video shows how the unit works on the lowest power setting. I was trying to simmer oatmeal. It did heat up impressively fast compared to traditional cooking methods. It's portable and relatively lightweight.I've not used induction cooking before this. The instructions left much to be desired. I'll let you decide from the attached pics how they might work for you.Update: Added 1 star after using it more. I'm using the BBQ setting as this gives me the most flexibility to adjust the power at will. I also like how quiet it is. I've heard induction cooktops can be noisy. I also love the timer feature. It's wonderful for things like cooking rice or quinoa that just simmers until it's done then the cooktop shuts off automatically. Very happy, highly recommend.

I have been wanting a portable cooktop for four reasons: 1) I can plug it into one of my small generators when the power goes out and I can still cook (we get plenty of outages), 2) I can take it camping and plug it into my EcoFlow electric generator, 3) I have a glass top stove and I love to can and I am always worried about canning on my glass top stove as some say it is not recommended, and 4) I'm a teacher that loves to do cooking projects with young children and this cooktop I can easily bring into the classroom. This cooktop is low profile and sleek looking. It has a child lock, a timer and temperature up and down functions. It also has preset functions for hotpot, fry, barbecue, soup, warm, porridge and water boiling. Note that the preset functions have an automatic turn off after a period of time that can be overridden. I observed that the water boil preset time is 20 minutes. Don't walk away from it and come back in 20 minutes!!! My cast iron tea kettle was boiling within 4 minutes. The manufacturer provides a refrigerator magnet so you can test your cookware to see if it is magnetic. If the magnet sticks, you can cook on the induction cooktop. I have plenty of cookware that will work, but I mainly have All Clad copper core cookware. Even though that cookware appears stainless inside and out, the copper layer inside is a magnetic barrier and they will not work on an induction stove. Be aware of this and test your cookware with a magnet before making an induction cooktop purchase. I recommend this product and I think the price is competitive.

We take this on the road when we go camping and it works great. I also now use this at home to cook smelly things outside. I love this so much and cannot imagine my life without it.

Love that it is easy to use. Plug in and select temp. I use it once a month for hot pot which my little one loves. I also like that it only hot under the pot and not all around. Cools down pretty fast. Just make sure you have the correct pots to use with. They give you a magnet and if it sticks (the better it sticks) the better the pot to use.

Purchased this to replace an outdoor campstove on the RV. Wind does not bother this and it cooks far more rapidly than propane. Does not pull enough current to bother the generator.

i love this appliance ?!. It really works for what i need it to do . it heats up extremely fast and the heating is very acurate and very controllable . it boils water extremely fast !. it's very easy to clean. It i usually just wipe it down a little after use .you will need an induction ready pot or pan ect to use the appliance it wil not work just any pan. most of the newer pans though have the abilty so you should be able to find them easily. i highly recomment this product .

This is a really nice cooktop, very convenient for making cooking videos. I like that it comes with a magnet to ensure any pans are usable. I haven't spilled on my cooktop so cleaning has been simple. The temperature doesn't get too high, so nothing has burned on me. My kitchen is u fee renovation. I bought this to be able to cook eggs and small quantity items. This is fantastic! READ THE INSTRUCTIONS so you know which presets to use and how to manually adjust temperature. It looks exactly like the pics and operates great. I even made meatballs and pasta.Highly recommend.

I am constantly bringing in food to my office. But unfortunately, other than a microwave, there is no cooking appliances to use. I wanted to bring in a dutch oven so I could serve my famous chili and this cooktop worked perfectly! Plus it is nice to have when you need an extra burner, say like at Thanksgiving. It's attractive and easy to use. I am thankful for the safety lock and the fact that it has functions so you can choose what you are cooking and it knows what temperature to set it at. Now I feel I can bring just about anything into the office for our future potlucks. Just make sure you have the right kind of pot or pan. And yes, enamel covered cast iron will work!
